Quite a bit of time has gone by since the last update so here are some of the exciting things going on in our world.
1. Over the past weekend a close friend Cielo shot the new Eskimohunter video (speed and other forces of nature) for her directors reel and it should be up as soon as the final edit is done.
2. We've locked up the lineup on the live show and are getting the ball rolling with rehersals and recording new material. More to come on that soon.
3. The eskimohunter / coco b's split has been licenced to the itunes music store so you can download it if you don't have it already.

Grand Theft Autumn releases the coco b's/eskimohunter split today. It's available through parasol. I couldn't be more excited to be in the company of such good people. The live version of eskimohunter is taking shape and will be playing soon.

The pre-production on the video is going along well. So much to do. We'll be shooting on Oct. 25th & 26th and the video should be coming out just after the record drops. I'm trying to bring in as many friends on this as possible.

The Release date for the eskimohunter/coco b's split record is set for the end of October. I just talked to manufacturing and it all seems to be going smooth.
Also ther will be a video shoot at the end of this month forthe song 'the walking tour of space 90013'. Director Lowell Northrop and I have been working out details and it looks like it going to be fun.

Vocals are done on SONG43 which will be titled 'my super pink stars will make us click'. Most of the mixing on it is done and I'll be moving over to the last of the 5 songs which is a linear instumental piece.

Postponed vocals on SONG43 and rewrote words. All done. Will start singing as soon as time permits. Bought a new vocal mic and hopefully it will be here by the time I start. My friend Jason played me something he recorded with it and I just had to have it.

Amazing how productive you can be witout the illness. SONG35 vocals are done and it's mostly mixed. It's going to be titled 'Speed and Other Forces of Nature'. The coco b's are done with their part of the split CD and I'm trying to finish as fast as I'm able. Don't want to hold this up any longer than I have to. Will start the pen finishing up lyrics on SONG43 and singing starts tomorrow nite. I need to get out though so perhaps an all day saturday go at it.

About 90% on the illness factor. I ended up scrapping work on SONG50 for now (wasted week) and moved over to SONG35. I kept a mojority of the old tracks. They weren't too bad. Added some acoustic guitars, percussion and reprogrammed the rhythms. Finished lyrics tonight. Singing Tomorrow.

Spent most of last night replacing rough guitar tracks SONG43 and working out some vocal parts more mixing. Going to change strings on my bass and both guitars today and try to get some percussion done. The bass is my baby, a 1974 Gibson Ripper.

A little reminder. Do not try to bring forth the creative forces while intoxicated. It leads to silly lyrics but sometimes yeilds some useful melodies. I'm jumping ahead and doing percussion and starting vocals tomorrow on SONG43.

Vocals mostly done on SONG52A which I think is going to be titled 'the walking tour of space 90,013'. Started work on some of the remaining three tunes for the split with the coco b's. SONG43 is well underway as well as SONG50 and SONG36. Considering time constraints I'll most likely add 'surfing at 32º F' (SONG42) from the GTA complitation to the list. If I have the time I'll probably dust off SONG11, SONG13 or SONG35 and finish them up. Working all day tomorrow. Should be fruitfull.

Vocals vocals!!! I'm mostly done with SONG 52A. No title yet but mixing and vocals are the only thing left now. I've been mixing as I go so it's not too difficult at this point. I'm constantly wanting to do both a pop song and bliss out mood piece at the same time. It's got elements of both.

Been very busy with work. Never enough time for music but the arrangements for SONG50 and SONG52 are starting to come together. The sole songwriter thing isn't realy my forté so I just keep playing and playing them and moving parts around until it feels good. It's starting to get nice.

Today is a liitle bit of a work day on SONG50. It's a melody I found couple weeks ago. Needs a bit of arranging. I'm testing out the new version of Cubase SX for mac so there's a bit of a learning curve to get over with several compatability issues. Old versus new.

I've been trying to figure out my next move with eskimohunter and it looks like a split CD with the coco b's is next on the agenda. I'm really eagar about this one - the coco b's are making some of the very nicest pop tunes currently going. Check them out when you get a chance. I'll be contributing 5 or 6 to this one which is going to be dificult since I have about 50 ideas in various forms from skeches to 99.9% done. Let's hope the goal of the split will get me into finishing mode. I've been trying to find a goodworkflow from idea to completion.
